Patag is a couple minutes away from Silay City.  It’s known for its mountain resorts that accommodates from a small group to an entire retreat.  It’s popular for camping and trekking its waterfalls and the Tinagong Dagat. A half day hike where you can set up a camp area, during rainy season, a lake-like water reservoir appears and you can enjoy swimming.

The waterfalls I have visited was the Pulang Bato which was my first trek, it was fun at the beginning, but returning was a bit harsh because the trail was steep and abruptly changes height. But nothing beats the feeling when you reach your destination. You will feel like it was all worth it, the sweat and tears (yes I was tearing).  I have also visited the waterfalls near the water dam, I forgot the name of it, since we didn’t really asked for assistance when we decided to trek it.  It was twilight and it was growing dark, but my friend and I pursued anyway, although it was slippery and a bit creepy, we just knew we weren’t gonna die.

That’s the thing, you are provided the trail, just have to follow it.  If you get a little bit adventurous then go make your own trail. If lost, go back to where you came from. But truthfully, our friends went looking for us when we came back. We just brushed it off our shoulders.
