sipaway

san carlos

Whispering Palms was the name of the resort we stayed in. It was the only resort that has electricity in the island of Sipaway. It is a small island across San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. There were literally palm trees everywhere. Funny thing is, the island is so functional, there is a school, a market, a port, and I don’t know what else. But what I remembered most was the cemetery we passed by before we reached Whispering Palms and my brothers would joke around where the “whispers” come from.

The resort also has a mini zoo, which are mostly monkeys in a huge dome. They are fun to play around, monkeys are always fun, I’ve never seen a sad monkey.  There is a mangrove area where a bridge is wooden bridge is hanged and a 360 view of the island. Whispering Palms also has a work out area where you can borrow equipment and weights. You can also play sports like volleyball, billiards, chess and biking (depends if they fixed the bicycles we broke while we strolled the whole island.) We were there for a weekend, and it will surely bring the family closer to each other
